Hi Friends –
After the general post about boobs & exercise, questions arrived about MY boobs & exercise. What sports bra? When? Why? How? Here are some answers.
My preference is Jockey’s Women’s Activewear Molded Cup Seamless Bra. “What? But that’s so… pedestrian?” Yes, it’s a no-frills, cheap bra: $20-$30. Price is important to me since I often change three times a day; and the bras only last a year or two. Affordable.
The fit is good too. But only because mine is a C cup. Anything bigger and am not sure the bra provides enough support. The cut covers enough – and with the padding is “discreet.” It can double as a bathing suit top and is comfortable to wear in non-exercise situations too. Versatile.
Again, being a C cup, this bra works for any and all kind of exercise. There is no need to add support for running/high impact. Back in the day, tho, that was not the case. A decade ago and beyond, while a DD, support was crucial for back health and, well, for keeping esthetics intact. Then I wore bras that had wide straps and underwire support for high impact. Good support.
What happened? Why DD to C? Age, three babes, leaner. Definitely meaner.
Hope this helps. Keep asking! -G
