Hi Fitness Friends –

Here is my latest story in the Washington Post. Am always curious about everything, every story I write, but this really hit home since I – along with about 90 million Americans (maybe you?) – am pre-diabetic. Am not cutting all the sugar out (because life is too good, too short, too delicious to cut it out completely) but am trying to make healthier food choices such as cutting back on refined carbs and including more protein, healthy fats and filling fiber. Exercise is also a big component and it might seem I am an unlikely candidate for pre-diabetes. But my biological father is Type 2 and this was a gift from him 😉 Happy reading and hope you learn as much as I did!
